Christian principles, honesty, personal integrity. These characteristics create the foundation of JD Bits which was established by Jerry Don (JD) Morrow in 1986. His personal hands-on knowledge of what helps horses perform at peak efficiency provides JD the basis for creating bits that work successfully for barrel racing, cutting, team or tie-down calf roping, or pleasure horses alike. Many of the leading barrel racers, cutters, and ropers use JD Bits on a regular basis. References are available. JD has trained and competed on roping and barrel racing horses since his teenaged years in Wizard Wells and Jacksboro, Texas. He learned to weld around that time then spent 30 years with General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin where he developed tooling skills which he uses daily in building JD bits. He has not only designed a number of bits, but he can also duplicate or rebuild bits that might already be in your tack room or that can't or won't be transferred with the purchase of a winning horse. Custom freeze and hot branding irons are also available. JD and his wife Dianne live in Parker County, Texas, near the mid-point of a Weatherford-Aledo-Azle triangle. They have two children (Andrea and husband Barrett, Jeff and wife Reagan) and five precious grandchildren (Kylie, Gage, Lexi, Macie and Naomi).
